Atlantic Container Line (ACL) said that it will resume calls at Baltimore for containers, cars and ro-ro cargo.

ACL to call Baltimore as shallow access channel cleared

Source: Atlantic Container Line (ACL)

The carrier has been advised that its shallow draught con-ro vessels will be able to fit through the 35 ft (10.5 m) limited access channel that is planned to open in early May. ACL is accepting bookings for its next sailing to Baltimore, with the provision of optional discharge at Norfolk or New York.

The first ACL sailing will be the Atlantic Sun, sailing Hamburg (April 24), Antwerp (April 26), and Liverpool (April 30) for arrival in Baltimore on May 11.

Larger vessels with deeper draughts are still unable to call at the gateway and will need to wait until the 50 ft (15.24 m) federal channel is cleared.
