4th Annual Breakbulk Europe Transportation Conference and Exhibition

March 31 - 'Working Toward Recovery" is the theme of the 4th Annual Breakbulk Europe Conference and Exhibition which will take place in Anwterp between 26 -28 May 2009.

According to the organiser's website: "The sagging global economy has caused downturns in many breakbulk cargoes, from steel and copper to forest products and project cargo. As a result, softening demand has sent charter rates tumbling at a time when many multipurpose vessel operators have a
backlog of newbuilding orders. While shippers wait to see what kind of stimulus packages come out of different countries, the breakbulk industry is "Working Toward Recovery," which is the theme of the 4th Annual Breakbulk Europe Conference.

"The Breakbulk Europe programme will feature a lineup of key breakbulk industry executives and leaders who will examine the challenges facing this industry and how they are working toward recovery.

"There is no greater time than now for communication between shippers, forwarders, carriers, and other transportation providers to be so critical. The Breakbulk Europe Transportation Conference and Exhibition is the forum where the breakbulk industry's issues are articulated and potential solutions are reviewed."
