A foxy dozen down Rio way

October 20 - Fox Cargo do Brasil has project managed the transportation of 12 new electric rubber-tyred gantry cranes from Zhangzhou, China to the Libra Terminal in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Through partnerships with its agents in China, Fox Cargo handled the port-to-port logistics of the units, each of which weighed 1,060 tonnes and had the dimensions 30.4 m x 12.2 m x 30.2 m.

The acquisition of these 12 new cranes is part of the Brazilian terminal's expansion plan, which it believes will prepare the port for handling the larger containerships coming to Rio de Janeiro after the expansion of the Panama Canal is complete.
