BigLift Shipping names new rep for Brazil

September 5 - Effective September 1 2011, BigLift Shipping appointed BrazGlobal Project Shipping and Logistics Ltda as the shipping line's representative in Brazil.

BrazGlobal was established in Rio de Janeiro in November 2006 and is a well known broking office in Brazil.

The appointment would appear to be an attempt to build on BigLift Shipping's presence in the Brazilian market and reflects the growing importance of Brazil to the global project cargo and heavy lift shipping industries. With BrazGlobal as its representative, BigLift says that it anticipaes increasing its presence in Brazil with better service to its clients.

BigLift currently operates a fleet of 14 heavy lift ships, with a lifting capacity of 500 to 1400 tonnes.
