Damco names global projects head

September 4 - Damco has named Julien Ranzato to a new position as global head of project logistics, based in Houston.

Ranzato was previously vice president, global controlling and business support with DHL Global Forwarding's Industrial Projects division, before he left the company in February this year.

Damco says that with eight years experience as a senior executive, Ranzato will 'play a valuable role leveraging his market experience with his extensive project logistics background in order to secure a significant increase of the company's footprint over the coming years'.

Damco's newly created Project Logistics Competence Centres, as well as the existing Mining Sector will report functionally to Ranzato, who holds a Masters Degree in Finance and is both a certified fraud investigator and an accredited anti-bribery specialist (TASA).
