Logistics company Militzer & Münch has opened a country unit in Singapore, serving as a key regional coordination centre for cross-border logistics in Southeast Asia.

Abdul Razzak has been appointed managing director of the Singapore outfit and, alongside director Asheeq Morris, is responsible for setting up and managing the country unit. “Our goal is to tap into the local market, build a strong local team, and establish Singapore as a regional logistics hub for Southeast Asia,” said Razzak.

Singapore adds to Militzer & Münch’s existing network across the region, in which it has operations in China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, India, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Mongolia and New Zealand. Militzer & Münch cites Singapore’s international connections, political stability, and reliable infrastructure as driving factors behind its choice to set up a country unit there.

“As a service provider, we have to be where our customers are,” added Andreas Löwenstein, regional managing director Asia / Far East at Militzer & Münch. “Singapore is not only geographically well located, but also one of the most important business centres in the world. With the new company, we are creating proximity to important decision-makers and offering our customers even greater operational reliability.”

Militzer & Münch added to its presence in Asia earlier this year by expanding its network to include Taiwan.
