Imperial Reederei takes over BARIS

June 22 - Effective July 1, 2011 Imperial Reederei GmbH will be the exclusive shareholder of BARIS Schifffahrtsgesellschaft mbH, with the company operating as Imperial BARIS GmbH from that date with its head office in Berlin and a branch office in Duisbur

According to a company statement, the aim of this acquisition after two years of close cooperation is to combine existing synergies and to strengthen the market position.

The management board consists of previous managing director Ralf Maehmel, Berlin and managing director Thomas Küpper, Duisburg.

A cooperation agreement with the former cooperation partner, Reederei Ed Line GmbH from Berlin, will be signed on July 1, 2011. The aim of this agreement is to continue the present good cooperation in regards to the supply of adequate shipping space.
