PPG makes Indian appointment

January 16 - Kolkata, India-based Reach Cargo Movers has been appointed as the new member for Northern and Eastern India in the heavy lift freight forwarding network the Project Professionals Group (PPG). Reach also has a branch in New Delhi.

PPG general manager Kevin Stephens says the company has extensive heavy lift experience and would provide PPG members with a proven support team, particularly for surface transport solutions. Reach Cargo Movers owns a fleet of multi-axle/40 ft trailers and elongated chassis.

"Freight forwarding throughout India requires a very good understanding of transportation options and infrastructure developments to minimise the threat of being delayed by bottlenecks. Reach Cargo Movers offers PPG members a specialised understanding of managing movements of heavy cargoes across difficult terrains in this region of India," Stephens says.
