China-based forwarder Protranser has delivered 18 battery energy storage system (BESS) units from China to South Africa.
Protranser delivered the project cargo from Zhangjiagang port, China to Durban port, South Africa. Of the 18 units, 14 weighed 43 tonnes apiece and measured 6.35 m x 2.44 m x 2.9 m, with the remaining four units each weighing 35 tonnes and with identical dimensions as the heavier units.
Protranser’s scope of work included port service as well as chartering a breakbulk vessel for the voyage.
HLPFI reported last week that Protranser had delivered a trio of transformers from China to Singapore and Malaysia, respectively.
