August 18 - MBS Logistics has transported four used wind turbines, with a total volume of 4,204 cu m, from a wind farm in M

The wind turbines were collected and loaded onto trailers at the wind farm in Germany, using two 120-tonne capacity mobile cranes.

Accompanied by a police escort, four convoys of heavy-duty trucks transported the equipment over 600 km by road to the German town of Passau. The journey required traffic rerouting measures to be taken and roads to be closed, as well as signs and traffic lights to be dismantled.

Once in Passau, the consignment was loaded onto three chartered barges and shipped to Constanta, Romania via the Danube river.

All of the wind turbine sections will be stored at the harbour in Constanta, before the equipment is finally transported by road to its final destination.
