The transaction is effective retroactively from January 1, 2025. A particular area of focus is time-critical spare parts logistics for aircraft on ground (AOG), as well as 24/7 emergency logistics.

Gerhard Wegmüller will continue to operate as an independent entity under its own brand name. Maria Wegmüller, who has been a shareholder and managing director since 2023, will maintain her leadership role and work closely with Fabian Heil, managing director of MBS Logistics AG Switzerland.

Joerg Roehl, ceo of MBS Logistics Group and chairman of the board of directors of MBS Logistics AG, commented: “By acquiring Gerhard Wegmüller we are strengthening our presence in Switzerland and expanding our range of specialised logistics solutions. We are especially pleased that Maria Wegmüller will continue to lead the company, bringing her expertise to bear and ensuring its continued success.”
