AV Dawson names Watkins

AV Dawson has appointed Andy Watkins as operations director.

Watkins has worked for the UK-based logistics and freight specialist for over 30 years, and first started out as a stevedore, loading and unloading ships.

Since his employment, Watkins has appointed Mark Wells as head of engineering and Shaun Cuthburt as building and infrastructure manager.

Wells joins AV Dawson from EnerMech, which provides a broad range of services to the energy and infrastructure industries, while Cuthburt joins the company from Stockton Borough Council.

From its 100 acre (40.5 ha) freight terminal in Teeside, AV Dawson provides road transport, rail freight, quayside loading and unloading, as well as warehousing and storage services to aid in for the transportation of a variety of conventional and project cargoes.
