January 20 - Hevold Shipping has coordinated the shipment of a 101-tonne transformer to a Norwegian fjord for final delivery to a remote power station.

The transformer was shipped to a private terminal at the fjord using a small coaster vessel, before being discharged by a floating crane directly onto a trailer.

Hevold undertook detailed route and site surveys prior to the overland transport due to the challenging access route to the power station.

The cargo was transported along very narrow and steep mountain roads to reach the power station, where Hevold used a jack and slide system to install the transformer onto its foundation.

Hevold Shipping is a member of the WCA Projects network in Norway.
