Steady year at Virgin Atlantic Cargo

May 17 - Virgin Atlantic Cargo has reported 2012/13 fiscal year revenues of GBP230 million (USD349.78 million).

The UK based airline carried 214,737 tonnes of cargo in 2012/13 - a marginal 0.91 percent year-on-year decrease over its best-ever performance in 2011/12.

John Lloyd, director of Virgin Atlantic Cargo, commented: "Our result compares very positively with the industry average, particularly when you take into account that the markets we serve across the Atlantic, the Far East, Middle East and Africa were the regions most affected by challenging economic conditions."
