ACI Cargo in oil rig move

April 2 - ACI Cargo Logistics SA has transported a dismantled oil rig from Pozo Gigante 5 in Huila to Colombia's Barranquilla port, which will then be shipped to China for the Greatwall Drilling Co.'s (GWDC) oil rig.

At Barranquilla, the 184 pieces of dismantled oil rig were loaded onto Rickmers-Linie's heavy lift vessel Yokohama and shipped to China's port of Dalian.

The consignment included six 20 ft standard containers and three 40 ft standard containers of cargo.

In order to transport the load on Colombia's roads, ACI Cargo had to obtain permission from the relevant authorities, as well as meeting with the Antinarcotics National Policy in order to comply with the due process.

ACI Cargo also undertook an inspection of all the cargo, before loading all 184 pieces onto Rickmers' Yokohoma.

ACI Cargo Logistica SA is a member of the XLProjects (XLP) network.
