Ahlers transports heavy transformer from Antwerp to Jeddah

September 23 - Ahlers staff in Antwerp handled the transportation of a heavy transformer of 321 tonnes U.W., together with 418 tonnes worth of accessories.

The road precarriage from the factory to the inland river port was performed using a special hydraulic truck, and the oncarriage to Antwerp seaport was done by barge.

 

The shipment left Antwerp port to Jeddah on the M.V Leopold Staff. The shipment is one of nine already executed this year by the Antwerp forwarding department.
