The first leg of the shipment from Batam, Indonesia to Singapore was completed using a tug and barge. The barge berthed directly at the client's premises and was loaded with five over-dimensional cargoes before heading to Singapore.

Upon arrival in Singapore after a two-day journey the cargoes were transhipped onto the heavy lift vessel BBC Kimberley, which then set a course for Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Once BBC Kimberley berthed in Rio Multiport the consignment was discharged onto waiting barges. The BWS Brazil team was present to ensure a safe and secure discharge of the heavy shipment.

"The entire transport went as planned to the great satisfaction of our client. This proves once again that Blue Water is a strong provider of transport and logistics solutions to the oil, gas and industrial project industry", explained Nikolaj Buurgaard Sørensen, project manager, Blue Water Esbjerg.

All the transported elements will be installed on the FPSO vessel Cidade de Ilhabela.
