January 9 - DB Schenker has successfully transported of one of the world's largest luxury yachts.
Using heavy-duty towing equipment the 30 m, 95 tonne Princess 98' was hauled overland from the river Rhine to the Dusseldorf Exhibition Center, where it will be on display to the 'boot 2013' boat show, between January 19 - 27, 2013.
According to Ulrich Zähres, responsible for trade fair logistics for 'boot 2013' at DB Schenker, logisticians at the company began the planning process and booking heavy-duty equipment around six months ahead of the show to ensure all exhibits are in place on the opening day of the exhibition.
