December 24 - Dockwise, a wholly owned subsidiary of Royal Boskalis Westminster NV (Boskalis), has been awarded a contract by Bechtel to supply module transport services for the Chevron-operated Wheatstone Project in Western Australia.

The scope of the work includes logistical management and transportation of over 100 modules from the Wheatstone Project manufacturing yards in China and Malaysia to the project site, which is located at Ashburton North in Western Australia.

A total of six Dockwise heavy marine transport vessels (HTVs), ranging in size from T-Class to Type IV open stern vessels, are expected to be used during the project.

The contract is valued at approximately USD275 million making it the largest ever awarded to Dockwise. Work will commence in early 2014.
