HLPFI's representative, Peter Edwards, reports that the meeting was the GPLN's largest ever, up 68 percent from the 2010 meeting in Rio de Janeiro, which was GPLN's previous attendance record, and also saw an increase in corporate sponsors, including Rickmers LinieBeluga ShippingWallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics and Ruslan International.

GPLN also had three meeting sponsors from its membership, including: Trans TradingRohde & Liesenfeld Canada and Cory Logistics.

SAWECO International Shipping played a key role in the conference, helping many of the delegates with their visa documentation, as did GPLN's commercial director, Luzius Haffter, who worked hard work to arrange the event.

The GPLN is a non-exclusive professional projects logistics network of independent companies specialising in international projects movements by air, sea and land as well as specialised lifts and the special handling of oversized, out-of-gauge and heavy lift cargo.
