February 24 - Volga-Dnepr Airlines has delivered 45 tonnes of equipment from Rio de Janeiro to Prestwick, Scotland on board an IL-76TD-90VD freighter, marking its 1,100th flight for customers in the oil and gas industry.

The flight, which was ordered by Chapman Freeborn Airchartering Fretamento e Logistica do Brasil Ltda, carried specialist equipment for a water-driven excavation system and auxiliary equipment, which will be used for drilling operations and seabed engineering.

Alexander Kartashov, sales executive at Volga-Dnepr Airlines, commented on the oil and gas transportation milestone for the company: "To date, our fleet of AN-124-100 and IL-76TD-90VD cargo aircraft has safely delivered some 74,000 tonnes of equipment for oil and gas industry customers."
