In addition to the 250-tonne capacity LTM 1250-5.1 and the two 220-tonne capacity LTR 1220s, Transportes Crexell has ordered an LTR 1150 and an LTC 1050-3.1E.

The company said that it has become the first Argentinian company to operate an electric crane in the oil and gas industry with its purchase of the 50-tonne capacity LTC 1050-3.1E, which features a conventional drive system and an electric motor. “We want to offer our customers a low-emission CO2-friendly alternative for their operations,” said Eugenio Diaz, commercial director at Transportes Crexell. “It [the LTC 1050-3.1E] allows hybrid operation, is compact, and has ideal lifting capacities for the planned jobs.

“Since the electrification related to oil and gas industry services is still in an early stage, we want to help drive this development forward in Argentina with our expertise and equipment,” added Diaz. “As the infrastructure for electric machines is not yet available in the industry on a mass scale, the compact and manoeuvrable 3-axle crane will primarily be used on urban construction sites and in customers’ depots.”

The LTR 1150 from Transportes Crexell was in operation for the first time at bauma 2025 in Munich, where it erected an LG 1800-1.0.

Active in the oil and gas industry for nearly 30 years, Transportes Crexell will now operate a fleet of 104 cranes – 44 of which are manufactured by Liebherr. Alongside oil and gas, the Argentinian firm also provides crane operations and transport services for the wind energy sector.

Last week, HLPFI reported that Mikschl Autokrane had renewed its fleet by purchasing two mobile cranes from Liebherr.
