Van Uden Stevedoring to open new deep sea terminal in 2011

December 24 - Van Uden Stevedoring will invest in a brand new deep sea terminal in 2011, at the Maasvlakte in the Mississippihaven in Rotterdam.

Manager Gerard de Jong says, 'In these times of economic downturn, Van Uden is increasingly noticing that shipping companies are looking for a total solution for discharging all their goods.

Ships are becoming increasingly flexible in carrying different cargo types, and the shippers have smaller quantities to ship. A combination of bulk and breakbulk cargo offers good flexibility.'
