Associated British Ports (ABP) has opened a new port office in Lowestoft that will support the offshore energy sector.


Representing an investment of GBP250,000 (USD324,280), ABP said the office will bring new jobs to thearea, servicing the offshore wind energy industry, as well as the oil and gas decommissioning sector.

The office forms part of a GBP2.2 million (USD2.8 million) investment in the port of Lowestoft, which has seen the launch of a new pilot boat and facilities, in addition to IT upgrades and improved security measures.
