May 18 - Air Partner has appointed Alexandra Nepochataya as its new Sales Manager for CIS, with immediate effect.

Ms Nepochataya joins the Air Partner Istanbul team from another air charter broker and has a background in the aviation industry from within the region. Kazakhstan-born, she will be responsible for developing the charter business within the Central Asian and Caucasus areas, an economic region where she has excellent connections and experience.

Air Partner says that although trading conditions remain challenging in the European charter market, the impact of the euro crisis has so far been limited within the CIS region. Presently the area is actually benefiting from the high price of oil and demand is expected to remain high for the foreseeable future.

Emir Ozdabak, regional freight manager, based in the Air Partner Istanbul office, who has responsibility within Air Partner for the CIS region, commented: "Since Air Partner's expansion into Turkey in 2010, we have seen increased charter demand within the Central Asia and Caucasus regions as the buoyant oil prices continue to drive local economies. More forwarders from the region are benefitting from the rates and service that Air Partner is able to provide for them. Our multinational clients with offices in CIS enjoy the same quality service from any local Air Partner office as their colleagues in their European, Far and Middle Eastern and U.S. offices who already work with Air Partner."

Air Partner has historically serviced these regions from its Istanbul office but following the recruitment of Alexandra Nepochataya, the Group is delighted to have an on-ground presence.
