UK-based heavy lift and abnormal load transport specialist Carter Contracting Services (CCS) has agreed to acquire a girder bridge trailer. It has also manufactured a bespoke jack and skid system with a 400-tonne capacity.
CCS said the girder frame will be deployed at National Grid and SP Energy Networks projects thanks to various supplier award scopes.

CCS has also designed and manufactured a bespoke jack and skid system with a 400-tonne capacity, allowing for fully integrated, turnkey services. As well as these, CCS has invested in further installation equipment, including skates, power packs, stools, timbers and alignment equipment.
Last month, CCS appointed Danny Skidmore as its chief operations officer, with Tom Banks joining the company as technical operations manager, too.
