Best and Energomet sign agreement

A new 500 tonne capacity gantry crane manufactured by KÜNZ is being erected at the harbour and is scheduled to be ready for operation from June 2010.

The heavy lift centre in Opole is a important logistical facility for investment goods in the south of Poland and can handle barges, rail wagons and road vehicles.

BEST Logistics, a joint venture between Haeger & Schmidt International of Duisburg, Felbermayr of Wels, and Andreas Häfner of Berlin, will become responsible for all harbour services carried out for third parties, including transshipments, storage and rental of laydown areas and technical support for assembly works.
