Olaf Beckedorf, ceo of BigMove, explained: “The new project freight forwarding company of BigMove provides our customers with access to the complete range of services and the know-how of our entire network.”

He added: “The new company will bundle major projects and distribute them within the network. As each partner of our network has their own specialised services, we will be able to handle more business and combine services from different partners.”

The objective of the newly created company is to market, coordinate, and process complex heavy-duty transport and assembly services for the whole group. BigMove Projekt will utilise the network’s existing branch offices at 17 locations across Europe.

“With the centralisation of processes we are able to avoid empty runs and bundle our resources,” said Beckedorf, adding that BigMove Projekt's goal is provide customers with its engineering know-how and support shipments, with other services such as method statements or route and journey planning.

“We want to offer our customers one contact person who is in charge for every single aspect of the project while it is being handled.”
