Ryan Foley has been appointed senior vice president of projects at Blue Water Shipping, effective January 1, 2026.
Foley, former ceo of the Industrial Projects division at DHL Global Forwarding, will be responsible for developing and executing Blue Water’s global project logistics strategy across sectors including energy, infrastructure, mining and industrial projects development. Working closely with the existing management team of the energy, port and projects division, he will also align regional project teams to ensure consistent performance and collaborative excellence across the organisation.
“I look forward to joining Blue Water’s dynamic team at a time of strategic growth,” said Foley. “Blue Water’s reputation for tailored, safe and scalable project logistics aligns perfectly with my background in global industrial forwarding and project execution. Together, I am confident we will exceed client expectations and drive sustainable value across major capital-intensive projects.”
Thomas Bek, chief operations officer at Blue Water said on Foley’s appointment: “His leadership and global projects expertise strongly complement our strategic ambitions to expand our project activities further globally. Ryan will elevate our ability to deliver innovative, end-to-end project logistics solutions for our international client base.
“Strategically, we have strong ambitions and commitment to strengthen further our footprint in the project logistics market, where we have grown significantly over the last decade. Our focus remains on delivering top-class service and quality to our clients, thanks to our dedicated experts, unique teamwork and strong values. Ryan aligns perfectly with Blue Water’s values and culture, and he will make a significant contribution to the global development across the Blue Water organisation.”
Foley will be based in London, coordinating with Blue Water’s global hubs in Europe, Oceania, Asia, the Americas and the Middle East/Africa. He is the latest addition to the Blue Water leadership team, following a recent reorganisation of the energy, port and projects division.
