Bek has been with Blue Water for 29 years, most recently serving as chief operations officer at the group’s energy, ports and projects division.

Nørgaard Thomsen has served as ceo since 2018 and, during that time, turnover at the Danish transport and logistics group nearly doubled. This year, Blue Water embarked on a new strategy and reorganisation, it said, deciding to leave the next stage of development to a new ceo.

A reorganisation of the energy, port and projects division, meanwhile, saw Ryan Foley join the fold. Formerly ceo of the Industrial Projects division at DHL Global Forwarding, he was appointed senior vice president of projects at Blue Water Shipping earlier this month.
