First aircraft arrives for CLG

CargoLogic Germany (CLG) has taken delivery of its first operated aircraft - a Boeing 737 freighter - at Leipzig/Halle airport.

Another aircraft is expected to arrive during the next few weeks. The airline plans to launch operations during spring 2019 with three aircraft, with the goal to increase the size of its fleet to ten aircraft within three years.

In order to be able to launch operations, CargoLogic Germany has applied for an operating permit from the Federal Aviation Office. An air operator certificate (AOC) must be obtained to ensure that an operating permit can be issued.

Ulrich Ogiermann, managing director of CLG, said: “All the measures required [to launch operations from Leipzig/Halle airport] from both organisational and operational points of view are proceeding at full speed. We’re therefore involved in a constructive dialogue with the Federal Aviation Office in this regard.”
