Fred. Olsen Windcarrier wins EDF project 

Fred. Olsen Windcarrier has been awarded a contract by EDF Renewables for the transport and installation of 54 wind turbines for the Neart na Goithe offshore wind farm.

The project will start in the spring of 2022 and will see Fred. Olsen Windcarrier transport and install Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) SG 9.0-167 DD wind turbines at the project site, located 15.5 km off the coast of Fife, Scotland. 

Fred. Olsen Windcarrier will mobilise one of its jack-up and transfer vessels for the project and will utilise the port of Dundee for loading.
