April 25 - GAC has appointed Hakan Wester as its new group vice president - strategy and planning, and named Mikael Leijonberg as the group's new chief financial officer.

Wester is charged with coordinating and supporting the implementation of GAC's strategy throughout the group's operations in over 50 countries. He joined GAC as group business controller in 1998 and after holding a number of other roles, was appointed group vice president - business control in 2014.


Leijonberg, who has been with GAC for 20 years, will be responsible for all group finance, accounts and business control matters in his new role. He most recently served as deputy group cfo, but has also held positions as general manager of GAC Dubai and managing director of GAC Bahrain.
