August 8 - Juern Schmidt, managing director of Hansa Meyer Global Transport, has been appointed to the advisory board of Jacobs University's International Logistics department.

Through this partnership Hansa Meyer will offer internships, mentoring, and advisory services to international logistics students at the Bremen-based university.

"Juern Schmidt is a big asset for the advisory board. His many years of experience in the finance and logistic sector will be of great advantage for setting up the logistics study programmes of our university for the future and intensifying the cooperation between Bremen's industry and science," states Prof. Dr. Julia Bendul, assistant professor of network optimisation in production and logistics at Jacobs University.
