Jaber Bringas re-elected president of UniportBilbao

At its recent annual general meeting, UniportBilbao re-elected Jimmy Jaber Bringas to the post of president.

Bringas is a founding partner and ceo of Sparber Group. His career in logistics spans over 40 years, including a stint with Schenker Bilbao.

UniportBilbao’s purpose is to promote the port of Bilbao and to act as a voice for the local logistics community. The association comprises members from the private sector as well as local authorities.

Among other priorities this year, such as providing specialist training, UniportBilbao has focused on maintaining its channels of collaboration and contact with businesses and professionals in the hinterland – “those based nearest to us who should not be overlooked simply because they are so close; quite the contrary, in fact”, Bringas said.
