September 26 - Following a nationwide executive search to fill the vacant position, the Jacksonville Port Authority (Jaxport) in Florida, USA, has named Eric Green as chief executive officer (ceo).

Green, appointed Jaxport interim ceo in March this year, joined the port in 2005 and served previously as senior director, government and external affairs, leading the successful effort to gain authorisation and funding to start the Jacksonville Harbour Deepening project.

Prior to joining Jaxport, Green served in numerous leadership roles for the City of Jacksonville, including deputy chief administrative officer.
