October 10 - On behalf of Ithaca Energy, Jumbo successfully completed the mooring system pre-installation for the Greater Stella Area (GSA) development in the North Sea.
Jumbo Fairplayer and Olympic Hera were mobilised to execute the project. Together they installed 13 anchor piles, 7 km of chain, 9.5 km of spiral strand wire, and completed pre-tensioning of the 180-tonne mooring legs.
The offshore installation works were completed on time and within budget. Mike Travis, chief developments officer and Stella asset manager at Ithaca stated: "Good planning, teamwork, communication and application of learning are always hugely important and this is what we saw on this project … Well done and we look forward to working with Jumbo again in the future".
