Seaports of Niedersachsen took the opportunity to showcase Lower Saxony ports at the Trans Russia logistics fair, Moscow at the end of April 2013. Russia continues to be a growth market and key export partner for Germany with demand for machinery, vehicles and spare parts, chemical products and electrical engineering equipment showing no signs of slowing down. On the import side, German demand for iron, steel and energy continues to improve. With the forecast of continued economic growth in Russia and its neighbours in the coming years, opportunities for Lower Saxony seaports operating in the heavy and project sectors should increase - making the Trans Russia exhibition a perfect platform for Seaports of Niedersachsen to meet with current and potential customers.
Companies and representatives of Seaports of Niedersachsen also used the Breakbulk Europe 2013 conference and exhibition, hosted in Antwerp earlier in May, to meet with new and potential clients in order to develop new business in the heavy, breakbulk and project cargo sectors.
At the upcoming transport logistics 2013 conference and exhibition, Munich, June 4-7, Seaports of Niedersachsen will exhibit its potential as a strategic maritime hub for Europe as well as being ready to demonstrate what each gateway can offer to the supply chain.n.
