Madrid networks in South America

April 5 - The Madrid Chamber of Commerce recently organised business networking opportunities for its members with counterparts in Santa Cruz de la Sierra and La Paz, Bolivia, Asuncion, Paraguay and Montevideo, Uruguay writes Oliver Ward.

Heavy lift operators and project forwarding companies will note the recently announced plans by the three countries to modernise and expand their rail networks, which, in the case of Paraguay will also include investment in the country's ports.

Paraguay and Uruguay have also opened discussions with the government of Evo Morales for the construction of a gas pipeline.
