This acquisition expands Omega Morgan’s presence in Alberta, enhancing its service offerings in the oil, gas, chemical, utilities, and mining industries. Established in 1997, Donald Rigging operates in Calgary, focusing on the oil, gas, and power industries, providing complete site services, rigging, jack and slide, transportation, and heavy lift operations.

Donald Rigging will continue to operate under its own brand, with founder Angus Donald staying on board. Omega Morgan ceo Dick Ferchak said the acquisition “aligns perfectly” with its growth strategy withing the industrial services market.

Oregon-headquartered Omega Morgan has been bolstering its capabilities in recent years. It acquired the assets of Intermountain Rigging and Heavy Haul (IRH), the Salt Lake City-based heavy haul and rigging specialist, during August 2023. In March, 2023, it bought California-based Walker Brothers Machinery Moving.
