Danish shipping firm Norden has appointed William Wallace as its head of logistics.
Wallace joins the company to lead and grow its transhipment and logistics activities worldwide, which Norden said is a key part of how it helps customers stay competitive, while reducing their environmental footprint.
Together with his team, he will be responsible for the company’s global logistics operations, focusing on developing smarter logistics solutions that allow for the use of larger vessels and help lower fuel consumption per cargo mile.
He previously served as the coo and managing director of Neu Seeschiffahrt. Prior to that he spent more than eight years at Oldendorff Carriers.
Earlier this month, Norden confirmed that it had entered into lease agreements with purchase options for six multipurpose vessels as it aims to grow its presence further in the project cargo market. Among the six ships are four newbuilds slated for delivery in 2027/2028, plus two used vessels currently trading in Norden’s fleet.
