After performing a few site walks and creating a plan alongside the building company, Omega Morgan’s crews arrived to place the two 4.5 m-wide, 19.5 m-long, and 3.7 m-tall units, weighing in at 9 tonnes each. The units had to be pre-staged within picking radius, while still allowing for crane access. “It was critical for our crane crew to take good measurements on site to make sure the crane could get into place after the pieces had been staged—if they were staged too far away, our team wouldn’t be able to pick them up. After a few site visits, and careful building and modification of plans, our teams were ready to execute the placement of the units,” said the company.

The lifts were performed with a 350-tonne lift capacity Grove crane. The crew inspected and prepped the modular units, rigged them, and safely guided them into their final locations at the school. Once they were in place, the building company finalised the installation, and made sure the units were safe for students and staff.
