Panalpina scoops UK forwarders award

January 28 - Panalpina World Transport won the Project Forwarding category of the British International Freight Association (BIFA) Freight Service Awards, the UK's most prestigious logistics and supply chain industry awards.

Finalists, sponsors and industry figures attended the glittering ceremony to celebrate the 21st Annual Lunch and Awards Ceremony.

In a category sponsored by BBC Chartering, the judges said that the recently-formed Panprojects division of Panalpina World Transport is proving itself through its successful handling of some mega projects involving huge business risks and enormous technical challenges. Its submission centred on an ongoing project in Kazakhstan requiring vast numbers of skilled staff, as well as massive investments in facilities and equipment.
