September 14 - Peters & May, a major player in the provision of marine logistics, continues to expand its global network and is opening a regional sales office in Hong Kong, effective 4th October 2010.

The strategic decision to open Peters & May Hong Kong is a result of the growth of boat builders, dealers and individual boat owners moving boats with Peters & May to Asia over the last three years.

Angus Bruce Jones, managing director of Peters & May comments, "The Hong Kong office is situated in a key location to support our imports and exports to and from Asia. We also benefit from several existing agents in the local and surrounding area with representation in Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan, and continue to research further opportunities."

Peters & May Hong Kong will be headed up by Thibaut de Montvalon (pictured below), who was formerly managing director of Peters & May France. Thibaut has been working closely with Peters & May clients and agents in Asia during recent months, bringing his extensive experience handling yacht shipments and the shipping process. His previous roles include director of Logistics at Tui Marine, which is the holding group for The Moorings and Sunsail brands.

Complementing the work of the Hong Kong office, earlier this year, Peters & May appointed Real Link Logistics as its exclusive agent for Hong Kong. This followed last year's appointments of 3L Leemark Logistics in Taiwan and LAP Marine in Singapore, which are responsible for Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
