The Rhenus Group will acquire Poland-based freight forwarding and logistics company C. Hartwig.
The planned acquisition is subject to the approval of antitrust authorities and the supervisory board of the OTL Group, parent company of C. Hartwig.
Rhenus said the acquisition will strengthen its global air and ocean network and expand its position in eastern Europe.
The deal includes nine locations in Poland – in Warsaw, Krakow, Lodz, Wrocław, Poznań, Gdańsk, Szczecin, Katowice and Koroszczyn – and three locations in Hamburg, Felixstowe and New York.
The takeover is expected to be complete in October 2021.
