The port of Rotterdam has appointed Broekman Logistics India as its representative team in the country, as the port looks to strengthen its activities in the region.

The Port of Rotterdam Authority has been active in India for a number of years, and its activities include consultancy assignments and attracting cargo.

By appointing Broekman Logistics, the port hopes to develop its international activities further. This will involve consultancy assignments as well as selling digital projects, attracting investments and promoting maritime trade flows between India and Europe via Rotterdam.

Broekman Logistics India has 16 offices in the country and has been operational since 2006.

The port of Rotterdam will also sign two memorandums of understanding (MoU) during a visit to India: one with the Maharashtra Maritime Board and one with the state government of Kerala.

Both agreements are for consultancy assignments relating to maritime and logistics and the digital transition.
