German breakbulk and project cargo carrier SAL and Dutch maritime heavy lift transport and installation contractor Jumbo have announced their intention to form a joint venture.
The Jumbo-SAL alliance would see the two carriers combine large parts of their respective fleets, as well as their engineering and commercial activities.
The joint venture is subject to clearance by the German competition authority (Bundeskartellamt) and Dutch in-company legal requirements.
