SGL will open three offices in India.

The first three offices will be in Chennai, Delhi, and Mumbai, with the latter serving as the head office. The management team will consist of professionals with long-standing experience from Maersk, Ceva Logistics and Rhenus Logistics. Vikash Agarwal will lead the team as ceo of India. Before joining SGL, he served as managing director for South Asia at A.P. Moller – Maersk, overseeing operations across India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and the Maldives. Prior to that, he held various senior roles at Ceva Logistics.

Over the past year, the company has strengthened its presence through key acquisitions, including Blu Brasil in Brazil, Foppiani Shipping & Logistics in Italy and ITN Logistics in Canada. SGL India will provide various services, including specialised capabilities in project logistics and humanitarian efforts.

Last month, HLPFI reported that SGL had delivered passenger bridges for a future Vietnamese airport.
