January 20 - Marine insurance provider Skuld has appointed Gregory Thomas as executive vice president, commercial P&I.

Thomas will be based in Norway and divide his time between Oslo and London, as he assumes overall responsibility for Skuld's operations in the offshore, fixed premium, and yacht markets.

The appointment takes effect on February 15 - the same date that Ståle Hansen completes his transition to ceo, having been announced as Douglas Jacobsohn's successor last year.

At the same time, Hansen has named Kristian Løberg, who currently holds the title of senior vice president, head of corporate accounts, as the company's new chief financial officer.
