Registration opens today, November 1, for the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association's (SC&RA) Specialized Transportation Symposium, which takes place next year from February 19-22 in Houston, Texas.

The event will feature speakers from North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia and Oceania, with discussions focusing on the shared challenges of oversize/overweight (OS/OW) transport.

This year, the symposium will also include a day of interactive educational sessions on the topics of safety and permits, which the SC&RA says will encourage best practice and the practical application of solutions to everyday issues.

The opening session of the event will see global experts - including executives from Mammoet, the New Zealand Heavy Haulage Association, Friderici Spécial and Daco Heavy Lift - share a brief snapshot of the specialised transport market in Europe, Asia, Central America and Oceania.

Other sessions will focus on how to become a better carrier, the new NAFTA agreement and border-crossing challenges, as well as working together on global safety standards in the heavy lift and specialised transport industry.

You can see the full agenda and register for the event here.
